Bulletin Board

Oct 3, 2024

Since we just had a meeting a few weeks ago, we thought we would cancel the October meeting and then have one in November.  We also decided to cancel the December meeting.  We know everyone will be very busy the month of December.  And...  we are trying something new for our November meeting.  We are going to meet in the afternoon instead of in the evening.  It's hard for some of us to drive at night and it will be even harder with all the road construction so we are hoping that this helps.  Of course, there will be detailed minutes of the meeting for those that cannot make it.  And again, this is just a trial.  If it doesn't work out, we can go back to evening meetings.  The meeting date is Monday, November 4th at 1:00pm at Centerview, Room A in Raymore.  Thank you all for your understanding and we hope to see many of you at the meeting.

And now for the real important stuff, the Ward Road update.  The contractor is planning to start asphalt next week.  This process will take at last 2 weeks to complete.  The asphalt will be installed in 4 separate lifts with curb installation happening after the first layer is installed.  At this time, they think that the area in front of our entrance should have at least 1 layer of asphalt by mid October.

We would like to let everyone know who the new board members are and the positions of all the board members.  We also want to thank everyone that ran for the board and everyone that turned in a ballot.  We had a record setting 68% of the ballots turned in this election.

PHASE 1 starting April 1, 2024: Ward Road will close from immediately north of Alexander Creek Drive to immediately south of Chateau Place for approximately four months. This first phase of construction will be the longest of three construction phases due to the replacement of the bridge over Alexander Creek.

Residents of Alexander Creek will use the detour route of 58 Highway to Prairie Lane or 58 Highway to MO 291 if you want to travel North. If residents want to drive into Raymore just use the usual Ward Road to 58 Highway.

Residents of Chateau Place and Ward Park Place will use the detour route of 163rd Street to Prairie Lane.

The second phase of construction will complete the remaining north section of the roadway and the final phase will complete the south section.
